Scorps Add Sting to Coaching Panel! |
 | The Casey Scorpions are excited with the appointment of 2 high profile Coaches to finalise the Coaching panel for 2008. Peter Brown and Mark Alves have been appointed by the club for 2008! |
Peter played football with the St. Kilda Saints from 1984-87 before joining Frankston in the VFA for 2 years. He then went on to Captain Coach various clubs at local level including Boronia, The Basin, and Olinda. Peter then went onto Assist the Eastern Ranges in the TAC cup competition from 2004-2006 mainly as a forward coach, as well as taking charge at under 16 level where he Coached the Ranges in the State Championships.
Mark was an assistant Coach at the Dandenong Stingrays TAC cup side through the mid nineties and through to the early 2000’s as well as Coaching teams for the MPNFL in interleague carnivals. He spent the 2004 season as an assistant Coach at Perth in the WAFL, and the 2005 season as assistant at East Fremantle, also in the WAFL. Mark then spent the 2006 season as Coach of Whitford in the A-Section Amateurs in WA, before taking the year off last season and returning to Melbourne. Alvesy (left) and Browney are sure to have an impact around the club! Both these players are sure to bring more exciting ideas to the club and will no doubt make an impact; they join Greg Hutchison who is ecstatic to have their services.Danny Sexton will again be assisting the Seniors on Match day and helping the development of both Saints and Scorps players during the week, while Craig Lees will also be available in his new role of Football Manager. |
