Scorpions start costly
The Chilly winter’s day in Ballarat may have been the cause for a slow start by the Casey Scorpions last Saturday, but whatever the reason, at games end it was too big a start to give the Roosters on their home turf.

After a wake up call by coach Peter Banfield at Quarter time, the Scorpions played up to their previous weeks form and outscored the Roosters in the last three quarters, and kicking to the scoring end in the last had their chances to claim victory with some missed set shots late in the game.

Outstanding for the Scorpions was Andrew Thompson, with 47 possessions, and also well supported by Nigel Carmody and Ralph Clarke.

This week the Scorps head to Bendigo next Sunday, and looking for a win away at QE Oval

Feature Article

Watching Adam Parker play footy is like watching a brickie on a job site. There's no fuss, no glamour, not ritz, just a bloke who knows what he has to do, and who's getting the job done.
