The Casey Scorpions inaccuracy at goal and a “dent” in their sharpness after the bye lost by 19 points to Coburg on the weekend. The reserves were victorious in their best win of the season with a resounding defeat of top team Coburg.
Casey Seniors had plenty of ball, but for some poor goal kicking could have been in a much better position for most of the game. Brett Voss was a major target up forward, killing six goals in a strong performance. Up back James Guilt and Troy Makepeace helped stem the fast moving attacks by Coburg. It was a game where the Scorpions seemed just off the pace all day. The next four games are vital if they are to be final contenders.
