The defence was the stronghold of the game, with Matty Ferguson, James Gwilt and Max Biagi repelling strongly with attacking play. 
 
Up forward Fergus Watts and Shane Birss were outstanding and with the midfield of Carmody ,Harrison, Makepeace and Matthews firing the Scorpions, who  went on to a 40 point victory in wet conditions. 
 
Next weeks game versus Geelong will be real beauty (note their may be a venue change ), also Reserves will be Saturday morning V Box Hill at Box Hill.
