The Casey Scorpions have surged into the EIGHT with an emphatic win over Williamstown on the week end. The Scorpions kicked away early, and although Williamstown came back in the second quarter, the Scorpions were desperate for the ball, and never gave their opponents a chance.
The defence was the stronghold of the game, with Matty Ferguson, James Gwilt and Max Biagi repelling strongly with attacking play. Up forward Fergus Watts and Shane Birss were outstanding and with the midfield of Carmody ,Harrison, Makepeace and Matthews firing the Scorpions, who went on to a 40 point victory in wet conditions.
