Casey Fields is a 70 hectare site in Cranbourne East, that has been developed by the City of Casey as the premier sports facility in Melbourne's south east, and has the potential to rival the famous Albert Park, the faciclity features a broad range of active and passive recreation opportunities for the entire region. Upon completion Casey Fields will contain: VFL Football - Casey Scorpions VFL Football Club (opened April 2006) Premier Cricket - Casey South Melbourne Premier Cricket Club (opening November 2006) 6 netball courts (3 courts opened April 2006) 12 Tennis Courts (opened April 2006) Cycling/HPV Criterium track (opened April 2006) Village Green (opened March 2006) Lakes & passive leisure area (opened March 2006) 3km of walking paths (over 2 km opened March 2006) 2 football/cricket ovals (opened February 2006) Golf practice cage (opened July 2006)

The Casey Scorpions Football Club have use of oval number 1 (one) and it is available to them 12 months of the year, as no cricket is played on this oval. The $4.2 million facility was officially opened on On Saturday 29 April 2006 by the Hon Steve Bracks, Premier of Victoria. The ground has access to recycled water, so it is always maintained to the highest of standards. Over the pre-season before the 2008 season, the lights at the VFL oval were upgraded from the original 50 lux, to 230 lux. This gives the Scorpions the opportunity to play night football, something that can become a real feature for the Scorpions. The light towers stastand 33 metres above the ground.
